Today, I wish to talk a little bit about other dirts which can also be used in your magical workings. The addition of these dirts can add a little extra Umph to your spell.
If you are doing a working for protection add some dirt from a church to it. As long as you are not involved in any illegal activity, you can use dirt from a Police Station sprinkled along the edges of your home to keep your family safe from harm. Dirt from a Post Office is good to use when you have lost contact with a friend or relative as well as dirt from the Telephone Company to restore contact with friends or relatives.

One of my favorite passions is cooking. Nothing makes me happier than a reason to get in the kitchen and begin to prepare a feast. My foods are infused with love, healthy energies, herbs to promote harmony and success and health. Now that I live alone, I do not have as many reasons to cook as in days past, but when I do people seem to find a reason to drop in. During this dark time of the year many of us find ourselves taking a personal inventory of ourselves. This does not have to be scary or depressing or even overwhelming. Some things we may have to decide to finally let go of, while there may be others that we deem worthy to nurture. Regardless of which, we should make a plan.

Many cultures and societies past and present use and have similar bag like items for personal and also ritual use. In the Caribbean, a bag of almost identical proportions as the Mojo bag brought from Africa is called a Wanga or Oanga bag. Wanga is from the African word “wanga” which literally means charm but translates better as spell.
